![]() This doesn't sound like any sort of healthy basis for an economy, and so we must ask ourselves this: what is the true state of the economy? - I would venture to say that we are likely in the middle of an actual depression, but the economists and politicians are afraid to call it that because that would undermine confidence in the system and lead to further collapse, so instead they put on their happy faces and proclaim that THIS is the "bestest economy EVAR", trying to pull the equivelant of Disney's Starwars narritive on us. if it isn't a flat-out "unpaid internship". Sure, there are some bad candidates out there but there's TONS of " we require 7 or 10-years experience!" ENTRY-level job offerings out there. I'm coming to the conclusion that there's a Castle of Lies when it comes to employment after all, who am I supposed to believe? The 'experts' and 'economists' and 'politicians' who keep yapping about how great the economy is, or my own experiences of being treated like trash by prospective employers? No HR at the company and I was supposed let him know if it happened again. He literally typed back, "My Name, frankly, I don't care." He was busy doing something else at the time. Once, I IMd the Operations Manager who worked from home after one of these sessions of verbal abuse to express my concerns. I still rack my brain trying to think what I did wrong. I asked twice and was told I could email the CEO but he probably wouldn't respond. Not sure if it was the reason I was let go but they would not give me a reason. I did well in that I was high in openness, extroversion, agreeableness and c, low in N. Prior to being laid-off we were sent a link to take the Big 5. You know what my dedicated broke ass did? I threw my book bag inside, grabbed one pencil and fuckin booked it. I could’ve just accepted it and stayed home but NO. I went outside and something was hanging off my car so I couldn’t drive it. Guess what? I’ve never actively chosen not to go! I always went! Front and center!Īnd then one time I had calculus at a community college closer to downtown that I had to drive to. Some lecture halls had literally 600 people. I have NEVER missed a day of work in my life.īecause that’s just who I am as a person andīecause I was in the military for 7 years and that’s literally illegal!Īlso, I went to college for 4.5 years where every class was optional. It says “this module measures a candidate’s tendency to be dependable and come to work”.Īlright, here goes the rant. I got “completed” which is the lowest you can get which means I’m unreliable. Then I was forced to take a reliability assessment that was just a bunch of BS questions about personality asking if you fucking love stress and have every gotten angry in your life etc etc ![]() I took attention to detail and got expert, whatever, great. So for those of you who use indeed, I’m sure you’ve been forced to take an assessment against your will.
